Old Post | Old Job | New Life | New Option
I was supposed to write this earlier on, but I wrote it on my friendster blog. Now that I repost it here with some updates.
It was 6months ago, after 3 and a half years of hardworking & no complaint life, I decided to go on an easier life, I went interviews when offers came along, I flunk it when I don't like the interviewer and I put effort when I like the interviewer and then I got offered a job with better pay (in fact, any new job would pay higher than what I'm getting now, :P).
I struggled alot to tender the resignation, mainly due to the ppl that I worked long enough with, finally I decided to reject the offer and stay on the same company with a transfer to KL, for a few reasons. I give it a year b4 I ever consider any new offer. It was Nov 07-Jan 08.
My 2008 increment finally been announced, for the 1st time I felt so unhappy about it (never been happy previously too), at 1st I thought tht's was how it is supposed to be (though it was lower than my lowest expectation), after thinking of some ways to convince myself, I found it so hard to answer few questions to myself on this issue. Then I went on for my vacation to Cambodia, I thought I would feel better after that and life goes on...
But I was wrong, I still can't get over with it, may be it's time to let my boss know my piece of mind... Then another call came asked for me, so I attended the interview. It's March 08.
I stayed despite most of the ppl I know asked me to go for better offer, I throw some trusts n faiths in ppl whom I think deserves them, too bad thing doesn't turn out the way I wish, not at the least I expect, so I think I will have to keep my options open again, unless I get some good answers to my questions, which I doubt I will get any convincing one.
To the one that flunk my increment, it ain't accounting firm that I'm working with but a sales performance driven company, be clear about what u expect from me, my scores might not be good , but I'm good in figures, I gave u yours , u better give me mine.

What is Blog for ?
What does a Blog mean to me ? If it is supposed to be a person's diary, then it will be an opened diary for visitor to read, an opened secret for all. I take it as a spot to share and store all the pictures I took that I like, articles I think worth keeping/reading, shout-out that I want people to hear me and secrets that shouldn't be just kept as secrets.
Blogging becomes a more interactive way of writing a diary whereby people can drop comments and concerns about what u been through and what u had in mind.
I never liked blogging (neither writing a diary ), but I guess it is the only way to share many things at one site : photos, articles, comments, travel journal, joy and sadness, whatever shits u have in mind.... Whatever I share , I really want u to know, whatever I don't, u don't need to know, neither u will ever know.
Disastrous Fun
Quietly she asked for food container or plastic bags to pack and take away the nice & tasty food left over from the buffet dinner, openly she started to fill the plastic bag with the possibly wasted food, they came to make fun out of it, some even asked for photos to be taken. Out of excitement, I stepped in and took 2 pictures.
She took it easily with a smile on her face and continue to move the food, can't be bothered by how these people gonna think about this high earning / high ranking manager's action. Well, they're never going to figure out why. Come to think about it, it was a good virtue not to waste food and it is never wrong to take the food away. But when it comes to public's eyes and ears, especially our society, it becomes a silly, stingy, greedy and undesirable intolerable behaviour !
At 2nd thought , I realised I was wrong, I was too guilty for joining the fun of it and took pictures of it. She was hurt and for a person in her position, she can't show it on the face but to hide it, she handled it with smiles.
A man had the whole scene in his eyes and he took action by gathering all the spectators, he gave us his piece of mind and reminded us how childish we were and how difficult the situation that we had just put a person in. The crowd silent. He was right. We were silly.
I thought I should give her a call to express my apology, her phone was put into sleep mode, so I sent her a SMS. I hope for all the silly things we had done tonight, she will forgive us, just like she always do... :)

捐血救命，豁免所得税？
我常在想（都想了好几年了。。。），如果捐钱为慈善（受政府认同的合法慈善机构）出一分力, 该款项可获豁免来年所得税的话，何不让捐血这份至高无上的善行也豁免部分所得说？
原因如下：
1. 鼓励国人捐血行善（又不会少了一块肉，还有免费餐＋维生素享用 !）
2. 间接鼓励国人保持健康的体魄（不健康者无法捐血, 即无法扣税 !）。
3. 国内大概没有医院是不合法及不受承认的吧?
4. 一人一年最多只须捐血四次，不难达至目标。
5. 捐血须亲临行善，没有请枪手／滥用之嫌。
6. 受益的不再是一个又一个失败的工程，而是命在一线之间的病人及纳税人。
7. 通过捐血扣税，同时推行国内保健运动及年检意识。
我爱吾国，但请吾国为人民健康，爱心与福利，拟定一项利民利国的扣税方案。

April is the month that I should be happy but for the past 2years I have been in real bad mood especially when I have to do the tax submission and withdraw the hard-earned money to feed the blood sucking government!

Remember the good old days when we made every possible things into tools for joy ? Perhaps the days are gone but when I look back, those were the real sweet memories; life can be so simple that even a treet, a leave or a stone can make good companions.
Despite the tough life over here, Cambodian children still enjoy the moments when they do not have to do forced-selling, their laughters still sing in my ears...

Nice restaurant with nice ambience and delicious local food, stage performance of Apsara every night, get the seating at higher level to have a nice view of the whole restaurant.
Friendly staff and reasonble price for food, worth to spend whole night !
2 hearts broken with a difficult "NO"
They don't choose to be on the streets with bare foot, repeatedly approaching strangers (tourists), begging to sell the items in the little hands with limited english words that they were told to practise.
One might feel cruel to reject an affordable offer for a few handycrafts at as low as 1000riels ( 4000riels = $1USD) from an angelic face young girl, but it has to be done to keep them away from street-selling and return to school, where they are supposed to spend their childhood.
Local delicacies
We got....Banana, Mango, Pineapple , Sweet Corn, Pamelo, some plant seeds and......WHAT !!!??? Yes, Boss, some deep-fried insects, each 1000riels per pack, all same price.
Need a job ? Bring your STAFF !
I wonder how many STAFFs one will/can bring along during the interview ...
